No matter how it may seem at times, you are not alone out there, nor forgotten!

Many organizations have your farm or ranch pursuits in mind and have developed programs to help, including general farm organizations; commodity groups (such as an apple grower’s association); local, state, and federal government agencies; private foundations; environmental organizations; and chambers of commerce.

Programs, seminars, and classes they offer range from training courses and technical support to grants, loans, and research projects that you can help design. It’s not always easy to find or qualify for these programs. But many are indeed available, ready and waiting for you, or needing your support at local, state, and federal levels. The Field Guide presents examples of how farm and ranch businesses have used various programs, and how you can, too.
